Our aim is to promote health and safety excellence throughout our workforce and operating environment. From mobilisation through to day to day management of cleaning tasks, all aspects of health and safety are of the highest importance.
In conjunction with our highly qualified consulting partners, HSDirect we continually review the company’s Health and Safety strategy and procedures whilst adhering to IOSH and NEBOSH standards. Our overriding objective is to continually identify areas of improvement, and to make practical recommendations.
We are accredited with SafeContractor status, providing clients with the confidence that we operate in a safe and responsible way and comply with Health and Safety legislation. Our health and safety practices and procedures are audited on an annual basis.
Safety policy and risk assessments
Our health and safety policy sets out our general approach to all aspects of health and safety. It explains how we manage health and safety in our business and who is responsible for what, when and how.
Organisational structure, managers’ responsibilities and overall arrangements for health and safety is also outlined within our health and safety policy to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all our employees or others who may be affected by our activities.
We produce risk assessments and method statements to ensure tasks are completed safely and fully comply with our health and safety policy and current health and safety legislation.
We provide COSHH assessments to outline potential hazards and risks from substances in the workplace, colour coding is enforced to avoid cross-contamination as well as other site specific assessments such as manual handling, working at height or lone working.
Informed, Well Trained Staff
As well as being briefed on their health and safety responsibilities during induction, every member of staff has individual access to our online health and safety portal containing specific documents and policies to ensure their personal safety, client safety and the safety of any members of the public that may be affected by our work activities.
All members of staff have individual access to our online training portal where industry specific training courses can be accessed and completed online, and certificates are awarded for training courses successfully completed.
When an online training course is not deemed appropriate, staff members are provided with helpful and informative toolbox talks and group training sessions.
Full Accountability
We are accountable for all our operations.
To assess our on-site health and safety compliance, independent audits are carried out by our in-house Compliance Team. Completed audit findings are recorded and made available to contracts managers as well as the client, via a secure online portal.
Our quality procedures adhere to ISO 9001 standards, we are SafeContractor approved, all health and safety documents are written by IOSH and NEBOSH qualified safety professionals, all window cleaning services are accredited by The Federation of Window Cleaners, IPAF and IRATA and we are an Environment Agency approved licenced waste carrier for waste clearance, waste disposal and waste transport services.
